YOYO’S BIKE: Creating Memorable Outdoor Adventures With Premium Family-Friendly Bicycles.

In cities around the world, the way people explore urban spaces is quietly changing. Travelers and residents alike are moving away from rushed, car-centric experiences toward slower, more meaningful ways of seeing a place. Cycling, in particular, has become part of a global shift toward sustainable, family-friendly, and experience-driven tourism.

Dubai is no exception. Beyond its skyline and luxury image, the city is investing heavily in outdoor living, wellness, and mobility. From long coastal cycle tracks to car-free zones, Dubai is opening itself up to a different rhythm of discovery. It is within this evolving landscape that Yoyo’s Bike found its purpose.

Founded by Amandine Garcia, Yoyo’s Bike is not just a bike rental service. It is a deeply personal project rooted in resilience, family, and a belief that Dubai can be experienced in a more human, grounded way.

From Personal Loss to Purposeful Business

Yoyo’s Bike began with a simple, practical frustration. Amandine, living in Dubai with her three young children, wanted to enjoy cycling as a family. But transporting multiple bikes in a car and accessing the city’s beautiful cycle tracks felt unnecessarily difficult. She saw a gap in the market for family-friendly cycling that made outdoor life more accessible.

Shortly after this idea formed, tragedy struck. Amandine lost her husband Yoan in a serious accident that also left her badly injured. The family returned to France during her recovery, but months later, she made the courageous decision to return to Dubai and bring the idea to life. Building Yoyo’s Bike became part of her healing process and a way to move forward.

The brand’s name is itself a tribute. Yoan’s nickname was Yo-Yo, and naming the company after him gave the business emotional meaning beyond commerce. What started as a practical solution grew into a mission to help families and travelers experience Dubai in a slower, more connected way.

Discovering the Real Dubai on Two Wheels

For Amandine, “the real Dubai” is not found only in malls and highways. It lives in the coastal breeze, the long cycle paths, and the quiet beauty between landmarks. Yoyo’s Bike is built around the idea that cycling allows people to truly see a city rather than just pass through it.

From Bluewaters to Downtown and along Jumeirah’s coastline, Dubai offers well over 50 kilometers of safe, scenic cycling tracks designed for leisure and family riding. Yet many residents and visitors are unaware of just how extensive the coastal and city cycling network really is. Yoyo’s Bike introduces people to these routes, helping them experience the city through movement, observation, and presence.

Riding through Dubai at a human pace changes perception. Instead of glass towers rushing by, you notice the sky, the water, the people, and the space between places. This approach aligns perfectly with the growing demand for experiential, sustainable tourism and outdoor living in urban environments.

Building a Family-First Fleet and Future Vision

Yoyo’s Bike specializes in leisure and family cycling. The fleet includes city bikes, electric bikes, cargo bikes that can carry up to four children, long-tail bikes, trailers, and baby seats. Every option is designed to make cycling accessible for parents, kids, and travelers who want comfort over competition.

One of the biggest challenges Amandine faced was building this fleet. Many of the high-quality children’s bikes she wanted were not available in Dubai at the time, so she imported them from Europe. Creating the right mix of safety, design, and durability required persistence and careful sourcing.

Today, Yoyo’s Bike is expanding through word of mouth, resident loyalty, and growing interest from tourists. The next phase focuses on collaborations with hotels and concierges, positioning cycling as a core part of the Dubai experience. With plans to grow into Abu Dhabi as well, Yoyo’s Bike is evolving alongside a city that is learning how to slow down and breathe.

Yoyo’s Bike is not just about renting bicycles. It is about redefining how people move through Dubai, one thoughtful ride at a time.
