From a young age, her world was enriched with books, colors, and an insatiable urge to draw, paint, and create art and crafts. Her fond memories include spending time with her grandmother, who sewed and embroidered, and looking forward to visits to yarn shops where she learned to love embroidery.
Anna reflects, “All of these experiences instilled in me a deep desire to create. I would try everything from painting, sewing, clay modeling, embroidery, paper crafts, and flower making. Even if it failed, I would never shy away from trying and experimenting.”
Although her career path took her into dentistry, she never let go of her creative passions. The COVID-19 pandemic provided her with an opportunity to explore new creative ventures, leading her to discover macramé rainbow décor and pyrography art. Encouraged by friends and the local art community in Doha, Anna launched her Instagram page on December 19, 2022. Her brand quickly gained traction, marking the beginning of her small business journey.

Despite balancing a full-time job, Anna’s dedication is evident in every creation. As she notes, “My commitment to my craft is my way of channeling my childhood dreams into reality.”
Her involvement in local craft exhibitions has not only given her valuable exposure but also bolstered her confidence. “The support from the art community in Qatar has been overwhelming,” Anna says. “It’s this vibrant network that has truly inspired and encouraged me.”

Future Horizons and New Ventures
Anna is enthusiastic about the future of “Handcrafted by Anna.” She plans to expand her range of products by exploring new forms of fiber art and offering a wider selection of home decor items. Inspired by tropical floral and botanical elements, she aims to introduce a vibrant, colorful collection by early 2025. Additionally, she is working on providing more ready-to-purchase items with customization options.
Currently, her products are available in the Middle East and India, with a few international shipments. By 2025, she hopes to ship globally, making her unique creations accessible to a wider audience. The next significant milestone is the launch of a website and eventually opening her own Craft Art studio. Anna’s journey is a beautiful blend of passion, creativity, and resilience, demonstrating that childhood dreams can indeed shape one’s future.
