Managing the business has been quite a journey across time and places for Humera. From India to Dubai, back to India, and then finally to Oman, Muscat. That she was able to make it this far, in spite of all the uncertainties was simply because of the strong support she received. Her father brother and husband were like her pillars during this phase. Chef Rubeena Ibrahim and Reena Mathais of Cake Talks Muscat are those professionals who really inspired her. Her friend Saniber Tumbi encouraged and motivated her to launch this business venture. Aisha Sohail a close friend also kept encouraging her by introducing her to Facebook groups from where she got good business leads too.
Today her home baking enterprise has served many customers and Humera caters online to multiple orders for different occasions. In the long run what she also intends to do, is start sharing her baking knowledge via online classes, so that more and more women can learn and discover the joys of baking. At present she has students from Muscat and India learning from her.
“My dream is to start a baking institute and take students through the whole baking process in an exciting manner. Side by side I will also keep my baking business going too because I have invested a lot of capital and effort in it,” says Humera.
