The Hub: A Family Vision Shaping Qatar’s Community Spaces
Community spaces have evolved from simple stores and cafes into multifunctional hubs that cater to diverse needs. The Hub is an exceptional example of this trend, seamlessly blending a convenience store, a co-working space, a café, and even a flower shop. Founded by Dr. Mohammad Salah Mansour and his family, this Qatari brand has introduced a new dimension to shopping and social interaction.
The Genesis of The Hub

The Hub was born from the vision of Dr. Mansour and his family, who were inspired by their roots in the importing and exporting business. They recognized an opportunity to create their own brand, leveraging their expertise in sourcing unique food products from the U.S., the UK, and Europe. Their shared dream was to build a convenience store that doubled as a social and creative space—something quite rare in Doha.

Combining their skills, Dr. Mansour and his 2 sons; an architect and an IT engineer, conceptualized a space that reflected their family’s passions. The first branch launched in 2017 at The Pearl during Qatar’s blockade, a challenging time. Despite difficulties in sourcing materials, the family innovatively sought alternatives from countries like Oman and Turkey, ensuring their dream became a reality.
Milestones and Challenges

Starting during the blockade and later navigating the pandemic, The Hub faced its share of challenges. The blockade complicated the supply chain, while the pandemic required swift adaptations to meet customer needs. However, these challenges turned into opportunities. During COVID-19 lockdowns, they pioneered grocery delivery services, which helped them earn a loyal customer base.
Opening additional branches across Qatar was another significant leap of faith. From sourcing unique products to fitting out interiors with limited resources, the family worked together, channeling their expertise to expand their business. Today, the brand has five branches, each embodying its community-centric vision.
Future Endeavors

Looking ahead, The Hub is committed to meeting the growing demand for healthier lifestyle choices by expanding its selection of organic vegetables and fruits. Additionally, it aims to enhance its offerings of organic, gluten-free, and sugar-free food products. This vision aligns with the brand’s dedication to providing exclusive and health-focused options to the people of Qatar.
The Hub also plans to host more community events, including Arabic lessons, yoga classes, and workshops, which will further establish its role as a cultural and social center. Through these initiatives, the Mansour family ensures that The Hub continues to be a space where ideas, cultures, and people come together.
