From Passion to Panache: AGAN by GARIMA’s Journey of Bespoke Fashion Excellence

In Hindi, the word AGAN means passion, and the fashion brand AGAN by GARIMA is truly that. Stitching together years of ceaseless passion with the delicate threads of her creative imagination, founder Garima Sharma Chauhan has nurtured a highly coveted brand.

Though her professional background – a post-graduation in international business – was not rooted in fashion, her lifelong passion for it led to a significant, career-transforming point.

After working with China Airlines and Airfreight Logistics in India, Garima took a break, when in September 2019, she found herself in Dubai due to her husband’s job. The absence of a social circle and the desire to revive her professional career, prompted her to consider starting something of her own. A casual chat with her husband sparked the idea of a fashion brand.

Drawing inspiration from her innate sense of style and a keen eye for clothing, Garima founded AGAN by GARIMA with a focus on ready-to-wear fashion. Exhibiting her collection in high profile exhibitions like Numaish, Riwaaz and Divalicious in Dubai, she garnered a positive response for the brand.

The venture gained momentum in August 2020 when Garima established a full-fledged setup in Dubai, complementing the existing one in India. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, AGAN by GARIMA thrived, with clients in India, Dubai, and the US.

Today, AGAN by GARIMA is a testament to Garima’s journey – from a casual conversation to a flourishing venture.
