Zain announces 10 Kuwait-based tech startups going to Dubai
Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced ten Kuwait-based tech startups that qualified to take part in the upcoming Dubai Roadshow, the first destination of the Regional Accelerator Program as part of the company’s seventh Zain Great Idea tech startup accelerator program.
Zain recently concluded Super Saturday, an event where participants presented their startups and outlined their strategic roadmaps to the judges panel that consisted of innovation and entrepreneurship experts, representatives of venture capital firms, investors, and startup accelerators. The panel carefully evaluated all entries and selected 30 startups to take part in the Regional Accelerator Program, 10 of which will join the program’s first destination in Dubai.
The 10 Kuwait-based startups are; Bussiness4Sale: a business exiting platform, Bazaar Gate: a dropshipping e-commerce platform, Matrii: a mattress cleaning platform, Motery: an app for car sales and services, Punch: a loyalty cards app, Yuehlia: an e-commerce app for mothers and kids, Phinests: a platform for creative freelance talents, Tdalal: a multi-solution platform for gifting needs, Enabill: a fintech platform for restaurant ordering and payments, and The Wish List: an online platform for fashion brands.
The owners of the above startups will take part in ZGI 7’s first Regional Accelerator Program, which will run for three days in Dubai. The program is set to feature one-on-one mentoring sessions between the participants and investors/executives from some of the region’s biggest companies like Wamda incubator Executive Chairman and Aramex Founder Fadi Ghandour, executives from the Fintech Fund at Majid Al-Futtaim Group, and others.
The program will also feature field visits to many of the region’s leading innovation centers and accelerators, as well as talks and gatherings with prominent founders and entrepreneurs who will share their success stories, tips, and experiences with the participants. A special trip to Google’s MENA office is also included in the program.
